Words Spoken Can Increase Your Faith (John 1:47-51)
There was a man named Nathaniel, and he asked Jesus, "How do you know me?"
Jesus answered, "Because when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."
Nathaniel replies, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God, you are the King of Israel."
How does God know you? Let's just start with He created you. He knows you and me, and we can know Him because He wants us to. He sent Jesus for that purpose. So we could come to Him and know Him.
Jesus tells Nathanial He will do greater things than just to know Nathaniel. If you, like Nathaniel, know Jesus because you know He knows you —yes, every hair on your head is numbered —then you can look to Jesus to do even greater things in your life and in things to come through Him.
For Nathaniel, he got to see the heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.
I will walk by faith, even if I cannot see (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Keep walking, sister —God knows you; He sees you, and wait for even greater things in your life for God to accomplish. He loves you so much. He gave His One and Only Son for you.
